Ben Whittington
Ben Whittington is the founding partner of WJR CPAs, and though he has now retired from partnership is still practicing within the firm. His areas of special expertise include:

He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). At the GSCPA he has the distinctions of serving as vice president, president of the GSCPA Educational Foundation and president of the Rome Chapter of the GSCPA. He is a graduate of Georgia State University where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting.
Ben has also served as the past president for the Rome Area Planning Council and the Rome Jaycees. Additionally, he is a member of the Berry College Executive Roundtable, member and past chairman of the Floyd County Salvation Army Advisory Board, member and past president of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce and recipient of the Floyd County Distinguished Service Award.
Ben, who is a native of Rome, Georgia lives with his wife Mary Margaret. He is an active member of Floyd Springs United Methodist Church where he serves as Leader of the Youth Fellowship. He is also a high achiever in the field of fishing – no amateur here, Ben has caught a fish in every state of the country!
